When I asked people on Instagram, what you would like to see more of on the blog, most of you voted on the Boss Babe… Hold the Babe topics!
Building a brand has it’s struggles and for the past two weeks, my blog has taken a hit on views. I’m pretty logical and I’m going to assume it’s because of the holidays, but for someone who enjoys creating content and takes the time to carve out time to write (even on holidays) makes me question my strategy.
I’m being extremely valuable about my feelings with the last statement not because I am looking for pity but to show you that growing your own brand is not always rainbows and butterflies.
My focus right now is to help fellow boss babes… hold the babes find a focus and live out their dreams. I am never going to promote that blogging is going to change your life and now you are going to make 6-figures and don’t have to do any work.
That is completely false and if someone is advertising this to you, I would advise you to run away as fast as you can.
When planning for the #SipandMingle Branding Conference and Market, Tara and I had to backward plan on how we would provide the best service to those who trust us in our craft. What makes our conference different that others?
We understand that daily struggles. No matter what stage you are in the content creating/brand building lifestyle, there will always be challenges that you will come across. It could be revenue drops from last year, negative reviews, or a whole marketing campaign did not provide results. Just because crappy things happens, doesn’t mean that you have to solve the problem alone.
Our goal for #SipandMingle was to connect like-minded babes so that they can find their best friend to concur the world together. It was my friendship with Tara that sparked this networking event and she is the reason it has grown to were it is today.
Launching this conference was extremely ambitious but I know that there’s a need for those who are wanting to make a better life for themselves. Despite the fact that there are many struggles, the joy the Simple and Pretty Co. brand has provided me is everything I have been searching for in life.
Since leaving my full time job, I have been able to stop being codependent of my anti-depression pills and got off of my anti-anxiety medications. I wouldn’t trade this life for anything else.
What kept me going is surrounding myself with people who just understands it. The result of this was me pushing through the failures and learning from my past has lead me to meet some of the most amazing entrepreneurs and followers/readers.
The last five months, I’ve experienced two beautiful souls that recognized me in public and who almost brought me into tears when they were sharing with me how much of an impact I had made on their lives. That’s deep. This is something no one will ever be able to take from me. It was emotional and gave me more reasons to keep going.
Knowledge is another benefit factor if you’re still on the fence in going to the #SipandMingle Branding Conference and Market. Professional development is a key factor to success. When creating our workshops, we had to figure out what our true strengths are when it comes to building a brand. Although building a brand takes all strengths, sometimes to succeed in business is to reach out to your peers to learn from their proficient skill.
I keep coming back to Tara because our friendship and business is a great model of how you would want to run a business. Before starting, I did not blog but instead was only on Instagram. With her guidance, I have been able to learn the reason for focusing on my blog, how to drive traffic, and switch my business model due to her teachings. I would have never have gotten that if it wasn’t for her experiences.
It also works both ways. In the past, Tara has told me that she now looks at her Instagram feed differently since I’ve taught her why aesthetics are important when maintaining a brand. I feel in the past 5 months, her and I are much stronger business owners because we utilize our resources and learn from each other.
This is honestly all this conference is all about. Just knowledge we have gain from our experiences so that you will have a greater chance in succeeding. This doesn’t mean that you can’t succeed if you don’t come to the conference. That is not what I’m saying at all but instead it’s a place for you to hear about our mistakes so that you do not waste valuable time, get to your end goal a little faster, and hopefully feel like you’re part of a tribe as you tackle on a massive lifelong project.
At the end of the day, making this investment is going to be completely up to you and that’s why we decided to make the price of the conference starting at only $75! We understand that you will be loosing precious time to take a day away from your business but with our workshops, it will help you create a clear story to continue your journey. When you’re starting out, investing is scary but just know that you’re investing in yourself and you will be getting knowledge from people who just get it!
You know if you have any questions, I am always here to answer. If this post sparked any inspiration and know it could benefit a friend, please do share this on your socials. The Boss Babe…Hold the Boss Movement would be nothing without you.
Love you all.
