It’s A New Year, I’m Going To Be A Goal Digger

2018 was year of changes and now that 2019 is here, it’s time to figure out the new year.

Every part of 2018 was not boring and it felt like I was going through a roller coaster ride.  In the past, I would have not been unable to handle my emotions because it’s very easy for me to get overwhelmed but I truly surprised myself.

Reflecting, I noticed that I’m a lot stronger than I gave myself credit for.

When I decided to leave my full time job, I was extremely nervous and a little part of me did not truly believe in myself.  Now, I realized that I’m able to accomplish a lot more and I’m fully charged for 2019.

Here’s how I surprised myself:

New York Fashion Week – In September, I was able to experience and attend NYFW.  I was able to watch beautiful shows and I felt like I was at “home.” It was magical and I can’t wait to go back next year.

Coca Cola Sponsorship – This was the biggest sponsorship I’ve landed and it was so much fun! This is also when I realized that I was living in the future rather than in the present.  It was a huge accomplishment but I was thinking about the next job.  It was such an eye opener, I learned that my goal was to find a balance of preparing for the future and living in the now.

#SipandMingle – I love trying to solve a problem.  With all of the moving, I realized that I was not getting invited to events.  I felt like I was a little lost because it made me think, “was I doing something wrong?” “Am I failing?” The goal with #SipandMingle was to help like-minded babes to find connections with each other and together create something bigger than themselves.  Since launching my first #SipandMingle, I’ve partnered up with Tara and we’ve been able to host and sold out three additional #SipandMingles, support local business, and watched ladies build relationships.

Now we are hosting our first branding conference in February and we can’t wait to help others tell their stories.

Collaborations – This year, I have been able to work with some amazing brands, create content, and just connect with some of the most amazing business owners.  I can’t wait to keep working with local businesses to bring you more content and tell their stories.

Relationships – I’ve met some of the most amazing people IRL and on Instagram.  When I was going through touch times, you were always there for me! The emotions I have been feeling has been certainly up and down but through these connections, I felt like I was able to bounce back because of your love! You have been there for me via text messages, phone calls, and direct messages.  Because you have been there for me, I will make it my point to always try to create content that is always real and stay true to myself. I’ve going to stick with my core values to continue to gain your trust.

2019 is officially here and I missed the beginning of the new year.  Andy and I passed out but I had to listen to my body and go to bed early. Now that I’m refreshed, it’s time to think about my goals for 2019.

This year, I want to focus on my blog and help other brands find focus to their story to share with the world.  I thought the goal of Simple and Pretty Co. was to land sponsorships but I learned that it’s not really my cup of tea.  My focus for 2019 is to help other bloggers get started with their brand, create websites, social media and campaign management, graphic design and just keep being real with you babes.

When it comes to collaborations, I will like to go back to my focus and work with local brands.  I started to work with Thread Appeal of St. Pete and I am obsessed.

The hustle is so real when it comes to owning her brand.  Thread Appeal started online and in the local markets so that she could help women feel comfortable with each garment they purchase.  I feel like Thread Appeal completely understands that style goes beyond pretty clothes but instead focuses on how the outfit makes someone feels.

Thread Appeal aligns with Simple and Pretty Co. and this is how I am going to continue my business.  I want to work with brands that have the same focus.

In 2019, I can’t wait to continuing working with other boss babes … hold the babe.  It’s going to be fun!

Cheers to 2019 love bugs!

If you know someone who might enjoy and benefit from this blog post, don’t forget to share it on your socials.  The best way to support Simple and Pretty Co. is to share to others.  I truly love you and can’t wait to share more.
