It’s all over the gram. Hair styles with scarfs in them. It’s heating up outside so that’s why, I have partnered up with Robert of Philadelphia, located here in Naples, Florida, to provide you step by steps to achieve the perfect scarf hairstyles that you can do at home. Stay tune because at the end, I’ll be providing you where you can find AFFORDABLE scarfs for these hairstyles.
For these styles, you will want fresh hair. After cleansing your hair and before blowdrying , place Robert of Philadelphia’s Whip all over your wet hair.
This incredible smoothing blowout mousse is blended with argan oil and wheat proteins to keep your hair soft and smooth during your blow dries. Ditch the frizz and rock the whip! Get a smoother finish to your blowout with this ultra lightweight airy mousse. Your hair will remain naturally movable and smooth with extra hydration and shine. It’s paraben free, and will make your hair feel healthy and smooth with just a small amount. Work from the roots to the ends, and blowout for smooth, straight hair, or leave to air dry for soft, beachy curls. It will leave your hair feeling soft, not crunchy and will help you create all these different styles through out the week.
If you don’t have the time, you can still achieve these looks when your hair is semi-dry. Just add Magic.
Magic is a leave in treatment that protects, conditions and detangles hair. Controls unruly, frizzy, dry and damaged hair, leaving it silky, full of softness and shine. Offers thermal protection and makes hair stronger, healthier and more manageable. Extends the life of color treated hair.
Sara of Robert of Philadelphia and I really connected when we decided to do this project together. I have been getting my weekly blow outs at Robert of Philadelphia for about two months, gone to several of their locations, and I have to say… I am extremely impressed. The owner, Robert really takes the time to train his employee to be an extension of him because every single person is warm, helpful, and really easy to connect with. They have three locations and I’ve been to two already. Consistency. This is what you are going to get when you get your hair done at Robert of Philadelphia. I have seen a handful of stylist for my blowouts and every time, I have been extremely happy because not only is there talent there, but each stylist takes the time to listen to your needs. Did I mention you get a neck and shoulder massage at every visit?
I know it might seem silly that I get emotional about getting my hair done but I was raised to do everything myself because I was told that I don’t need to spend money for luxury things. Robert of Philadelphia taught me to not feel guilty for wanting to look nice and has provided me confidence every time I leave the salon. I stand taller now, I’m more fierce, and honestly, it’s because of a weekly blowout.
This blog post is dedicated to Alexi, Robert’s daughter, who has gifted me this confidence. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have put myself first and would have been stuck in my old habits. Thank you Alexi for being such an amazing human and introducing me to your work family. You are beautiful, a wonderful mom, and a great leader. Be sure to head to their website after to check out the full story.
Now let’s talk styling!
We’ve created three at home styles and one inspirational style. The inspirational one is for you to show your stylist to use as a reference at your next updo appointment.
I know right! SO CUTE! To save on some time, warning….every single style is adorable and I’m going to refrain myself from saying SO CUTE for each one. Just know that I’m thinking of it.
- Use the crown of your head to guide you to create a half up, half down style.
- Tuck your hair underneath and secure it with a hair tie to create a bun.
- Place the scarf under the bun and tie it twice.
That’s it. That simple.
This next look is when you want your hair completely out of your face and look classy at the same time. I love this look for a date night, brunch, or for something that’s a more little formal.
- Start at the crown on your head and pull it back to create a half up, half down look. TIP: For those who have thicker hair like me, you will have to secure it with a hair tie and bobby pins to create the volume. If your hair is thinner, you will secure it with just bobby pins.
- Then pull the rest of you hair into a pony tail.
- Place scarf under the pony tail and tie it into a bow.
Nextttttttt! See how simple these are?! All you need are good products, a scarf, hair ties + bobby pins, and inspiration. It’s crazy how easy these styles are.
This style is more of the difficult one between the three at home styles but I believe you can do it. Why? Because it’s going to blow your mind on how Sara achieved this look.
- Section out your hair at the top of your head as you would when creating a french braid.
- Place the scarf under the first strand and secure it with two bobby pins.
- Create the french braid while having the scarf, part of the first strand and secure it with a hair tie at the end.
- Pull parts of the scarf and braid to create a fuller look.
- Wrap the scarf around the hair tie until desire length and tie the scarf to secure.
- Feel cute and excited that you did it!
I added that extra step because it might take a couple of tries.
For our last style, you and your stylist can create this together and use this photo as an inspirational. Think about it…How many times have you’ve googled updos and showed it to your stylist. We made it easy for you to just pin this in your updo inspirational board and have it saved for your next appointment.
I really want to take the time to say thank you to Sara and Robert of Philadelphia for helping see this project through. I truly hope that this inspires you to try these simple styles and that the products bring you the confidence you need to create new styles at home. Plus, if you’re like me and want to treat yourself, you can always head to Robert of Philadelphia and book an appointment.
